IVAN PAVLOVITS

designer + owner

Ivan Pavlovits is a designer and architect living in Los Angeles. Hungarian born and educated, he received his degree for Interior Design and Architecture from Art Center College of Design in Budapest. His early career involved working for advertising companies and designing large scale international Trade Shows all over the globe.

His decision to move from Hungary to Los Angeles, CA in the 1980s brought his exquisite mind for business and specific design talents to Hirsch Bedner and Associates, which is still the largest American company specializing in Hotel Interior Design. Here he tackled various projects for five star hotels such as Hyatt, Sheraton, and Hilton, taking on the role of Project Designer. This gave him the experience needed to understand the complex requirements and demands of working in the hospitality field, which enabled him to create specifically for the needs of hotel and patron.

Ivan’s own company, AA Studio, Inc. began in 1992 and successfully allowed him to design and manufacture new ideas. He introduced wooden wall sconces in 2006 at the Hospitality Design Expo in Las Vegas, which were picked up by the likes of Wynn Tower, Hyatt, Marriott and many other well-known hospitality companies in the following years.

Ivan is presently creating exciting new lines of small furniture and accessories using a unique combination of wood and brushed brass.
